Who we are

OVCI (Italian acronym for Volunteer Organization for International Co-operation) la Nostra Famiglia, is an Italian Non Governmental Organization, registered by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, currently operating in the Federal Republic of Sudan (Khartoum and Central Equatorial States), Ecuador (Esmeraldas Province), Morocco (Rabat and Salé Prefectures) and People’s Republic of China (Beijing Municipality).

OVCI achieves its humanitarian goals by:

• physical, mental and social rehabilitation
• training of local people
• social assistance
• medical science
• education
• Promotion and awareness on disability and development in Italy

Our slogan is "per tutti i bambini del mondo" (for every child of the world): our main care is for the children. OVCI activities, indeed, particularly focus on children with special social situations and on disabled children.

OVCI implements and supports activities as Rehabilitation Units and Centres, Orthopaedic Workshops, Community Based Rehabilitation programmes, Ordinary and Special Education activities, University and Academic courses, Primary Health Care Centres and other medical services, Nutritional Units.
