From 1996 to 2006 OVCI responded to the request of the Chinese Red Cross to train the staff of the Rehabilitation Center for Children with Cerebral Palsy (Fang Shan District, Beijing Municipality) and other operators in the sector.
In 2008, OVCI entered into a collaboration with the Federation of People with Disabilities of the Xicheng District (Beijing Municipality), starting in 2010 an Assessment and Rehabilitation Guide Center, currently managed by the Chinese Womende Jiayuan Association, of which OVCI has supported the birth and development.
Currently our commitment is on two fronts:
1- Rehabilitation commitment, through the support to the Chinese Womende Jiayuan Association in the management of the Evaluation and Guide Center (concrete model of application of the holistic approach to rehabilitation) and in interventions at Institutes / Orphanages in the territory of the Municipality of Beijing .
2- Training commitment, which has characterized us since the beginning of our presence in China and has as its main theme the spread of the holistic approach to rehabilitation, in which each person is considered and valued in its complexity.
For the realization of these commitments OVCI avails itself of the constant support given by the expert of the La Nostra Famiglia / E. Medea Scientific Institute Association.
In China, it benefits from the fruitful collaboration with the Chinese Womende Jiayuan Association and with the National Federation of People with Disabilities, at different levels. Since 2011 he has also collaborated with the China Dolls Association of China, a national reference for osteogenesis imperfecta and other rare diseases.
