OVCI has been present in Morocco since 2000. At the very beginning, for consultancy to the Italian NGO Ai.Bi (Amici dei Bambini, which means "Friends of children") at the Lalla Meriem Orphanage.
Then establishes its own headquarters and in 2006 - thanks to a comparison between Moroccan parents and two Italian associations linked to OVCI (FONOS and the Parents' Association of Our Family) - the Parents and Friends of Children with Disabilities Association "Casa Lahnina" (house of tenderness).
Currently OVCI is engaged on four slopes:

1 - CBID commitment, through the promotion of a community based inclusive development program

2 - Rehabilitation commitment, through the management of the SAFIR Multidisciplinary Service

3 - Educational commitment, through the management of the first Social Educational Center to accompany children with disabilities in the path of school inclusion

4 - Awareness raising commitment, supporting the Handifilm Festival to promote a new culture of disability.
