GOAL: To train young Moroccans to promote a new culture of disability through cinematographic communication

ORIGIN OF THE COMMITMENT: In 2007, OVCI - with other local associations - set up the Handifilm Association with the aim of using film communication to promote a new culture of disability. In March 2007, the first edition of the Handifilm Festival starts, which for the first few years involved the organization of film screenings related to the theme of disability followed by debate.

COMMITMENT DESCRIPTION: Since 2013, the Festival has adopted a new formula, becoming a real film competition divided into two categories: competition for short films made by professional directors and competition for short films made by young people.
To further promote the culture of inclusion and hospitality, Handifilm accompanies several Moroccan high schools in the creation of their short film, which will then be presented at the Festival, but also at various events outside Morocco, such as France, Italy and Germany.
