OVCI has been present in Sudan since 1999 through awareness-raising actions for prevention and early diagnosis, in a social fabric still not very attentive to the inclusion of people with disabilities. It has been identified - as a privileged way - that of promoting the establishment of a local association of people inserted in the social and cultural context of the complex Sudanese reality.
Our commitment is currently on four fronts:
1 - Rehabilitation commitment, through the management of a Rehabilitation Centre and the support to our local counterpart USADC in the promotion of an inclusive development program on a community basis, with interventions also in orphanages of the Municipality of Khartoum.
2 - Educational commitment, through the promotion of a Vocational Training Centre, a preschool and school inclusion service.
3 - Health commitment, through the management of a Health Centre.
4 - University commitment, collaborating in the degree course in Rehabilitation Sciences at Ahfad University for women.
